Days leading up to family beach portraits I always am asked, “What should we wear?” Today I am going to give you lots of great suggests when it comes to your best look when getting your photo shot by the ocean.

First and foremost, I always suggest wearing colors that contrast with the golden sand. Think about wearing sea glass colors of blues, greens, rich browns, and creams paired with khakis. We’ve always loved the idea of having families wear varying shades of blue tops with khaki bottoms!

It’s important to always remember to not let deciding the “perfect” color to cause you stress. Black is a great color choice that pops beautifully in photographs!  On the opposite end, should you fancy lighter shades of colors always choose cream. White is too stark during the summer, and shows off sunburn. Cream is  soft, beautiful and the perfect touch for your beach portrait session.
